Day 1: Arrive in the morning. Your Tour Manager will meet you and accompany you to the  Hotel. A short introductory tour in the afternoon will include the National Museum and the magnificent Kiddist Selassi (Trinity Cathedral).

Day 2: At leisure, with the option of visiting Debre Libanos.

Day 3: Fly to Bahar Dar(204 miles or 328KM/1 hour) on the shores of Lake Tana, Ethiopia's largest lake. Afternoon cruise on the lake to visit the monastery of Ura Kidhare Miheret. Overnight stay at hotel.

The  Hotels and resorts in Bihar Dar are well located on the shores of lake Tana with a very pleasant terrace and thickly wooded grounds, home to a rich variety of birds such as kingfisher, pelicans and heron. Most of the hotels are decorated in traditional style and all rooms have a private bath room.

Day 4: Visit the blue Nile falls ,home to a great variety of birds and plants. Afternoon visit the weekly market in the city.

Day 5: Morning flight to Gondar(65 miles or 104 KM/20 Minutes),imperial capital of Ethiopia in the 17th century, for accommodation at the Goha Hotel.

Gonder, the city of castles, is picturesquely located beneath the Semien mountains, and has much of interest, and this afternoon we explore the royal Enclosure containing the impressive two-storey palace of Emperor Fasildas, hewn out of brown basalt. We continue to the superb church of Debre Birhan selassie, whose ceilings are covered with paintings of 80 winged angles.

The Goha Hotel is located on a hill overlooking the city with excellent views. All 64 rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the hotel has good restaurant plus a pleasant terrace where drinks and sometimes meals can be taken.

Day 6: Today is a full day excursion to the Simien Mountains.

Day 7: Morning flight to Lalibela(116 miles or 186 KM/30 minutes), where we stay at the Hotel. Mountain view hotel,is one of the best available, is located in the remote northern highlands at 8,626ft. Lalibela is nowadays little more than a village ,but it contains eleven rock-cut churches dating from the 12th century that bear witness to its former glory. During our stay we visit all the churches, and also take an excursion to the Yemrhanne Kirstos monastery, a remarkably beautiful structure in typical Axumite style.

Day 8: More exploration in Lalibela

LALIBELA, THE 'EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD
The mysterious rock-cut churches of lalibela have been in continuous use since their construction more than 700 years ago. Each of the churches is architecturally unique: some lie almost hidden in deep trenches, others stand in open quarried caves. A complex network of tunnels and narrow passage ways links them all. Many of the interiors are adorned with beautifully preserved frescoes.

Day 9: Morning flight to Axum(149 Miles or 239 KM/45 minutes), the oldest and holiest city in Ethiopia where we transfer to the Remhai hotel. Our sight seeing includes the famous free-standing monolithic stalea, and the church of saint Mary of Zion, reputed to be the resting place of the sacred Ark of the covenant.

Day 10: Drive into the surrounding countryside to visit the Gudit Stelae Field, more commonly known as the Place of the Queen of Sheba. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 11: Fly to Addis Ababa (361 miles or 580 KM/2 hours). Transfer to the n Hotel. A farewell dinner will be arranged.
